How many treatments are needed?
We recommend two treatments spaced 6 weeks apart to ensure best results. The two sessions are included in the price. You should start to notice results after 5 days.
Is it safe?
Profhilo contains hyaluronic acid which is produced naturally in the body, so is well tolerated. Its production process results in a low inflammatory response when injected. It lacks cross-linking chemicals like BDDE which means you do not have to worry about introducing synthetic chemicals into your skin.

How long will it last?
The results of Profhilo last between 6-9 months.
Side effects
Profhilo is made up from hyaluronic acid, a substance that is well tolerated by skin and naturally occurring in the body. The only minor side effects reported are swelling and bruising of the skin at the point of injection – these will usually subside within 24-48 hours.
What is the difference between Profhilo, Botulism and Fillers?
Botulism – Is injected into the face and works to ‘freeze’ or relax muscles. It is commonly used to smooth out foreheads, frown lines and crows feet.
Fillers – Will add volume to specific parts of your face. Lips being the most common area. Although the majority of dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, Profhilo is not a dermal filler.
Profhilo – Neither relaxes facial muscles or adds volume to the face. It can not replace lost volume in the face or smooth out deep folds or wrinkles. The uniquely patented hybrid complex gel, which is thinner then fillers, spreads to become integrated into the skin. There, it stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, working from the inside out, to tackle ageing signs.
