The Morpheus8 Treatment Process

Preparation
At this stage, we will perform a consultation before having the Morpheus8 treatment at Primer Laser Clinic. One of our doctors will review your medical history to ensure you are suitable for the treatment. We will medically examine the areas you want to treat, discuss any concerns you may have, and explain the procedure and aftercare.

The Procedure
On the day of your procedure, do not apply any lotions, powder, oils or other products to the treatment areas. This will ensure you get the best results with your treatment.

The procedure typically takes between 30 minutes – 60 minutes; however, this can vary between patients. One of our doctors will apply topical numbing cream to the areas, which will give you additional comfort throughout the procedure. Once the local anaesthetic is working, our Doctor will use the Morpheus 8 applicator, where 24 needles will penetrate the skin at specific depths between 1-5 mm to deliver the heating energy to the dermis. This will stimulate collagen contraction and the production of new collagen and elastin, resulting in tightened skin.

Post Treatment Care

After your Mopheus8 treatment, clean your face using a soothing cleanser or face wash with lukewarm water to wash your face and gently pat your skin dry. Then, apply a gentle moisturiser or healing ointment on the area until the skin heals.

What Should I Avoid After Morpheus8?

It is important to follow the post-treatment care that the doctor recommends for you to ensure proper healing. Here is what you should avoid after your treatment:

Do not apply any Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinol, Vitamin A, Vitamin C or anything that is an active skincare for 48 hours
Avoid intentional and direct sunlight for at least 24 hours (after 24 hours, wear UVA/UVB sun cream)
Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours
No exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment
Avoid applying makeup until at least 48 hours after the procedure and ensure you keep makeup brushes prior to using them
