What Are MesoPeels and MD Advanced MesoPeels and How Do They Work?

Mesopeel Peel provides an exponential, customised results for those seeking a safe, effective, versatile, adaptable range of chemical peels. MesoPeel is a range of professional chemical peels from mesoestetic. Different formulations address concerns such as dullness, uneven pigmentation, blemish-prone skin and visible signs of ageing. A chemical peel exfoliates the skin in a controlled way; the formula and treatment plan are chosen after assessment

MesoPeels: are a range of professional chemical peels developed by mesoestetic to improve the appearance of skin tone, texture and radiance. They use controlled exfoliation to remove dead skin cells, helping reveal smoother, fresher-looking skin.

Different formulations target concerns including dullness, uneven pigmentation, oily or blemish-prone skin and early signs of ageing.

MD Advanced MesoPeels: our advanced category using the mesopeel MD range. This higher strength peel offers more intensive exfoliation to target concerns such as uneven pigmentation, blemish-prone skin, uneven texture and visible signs of ageing. This includes Jessner Peel.

What is a Jessner peel?

Jessner is a specific type of advanced chemical peel that your practitioner may recommend following assessment. It uses a blend of exfoliating ingredients to improve the appearance of uneven skin tone and texture, and may help with blemish-prone skin and pigmentation left after breakouts.

The suitable peel depends on your skin and treatment goals. You do not need to select a formula yourself. Book a consultation if you are unsure which category to choose.

The cell renewal process

Our skin renews and regenerates naturally every 28 days, but with time and at certain times of life, adolescence, pregnancy, and menopause, this process becomes irregular and slower, provoking the appearance of skin alterations: acne, shine, dilated pores, wrinkles, dull tone, pigmentation spots, etc.

Tailor-made skin peel for your skin concerns.

Undergoing a Mesopeel Peel various times a year helps maintain a healthy appearance and improve the texture of the skin, being a preventative measure against ageing.

To optimise other treatments

Who is suitable?

MesoPeels are suitable for individuals looking to improve various skin concerns, including uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, mild wrinkles, acne, and dullness. It is often recommended for those with ageing skin, sun damage, or acne-prone skin. MesoPeels can be tailored to different skin types and concerns, making it suitable for sensitive, dry, oily, and combination skin.

However, people with very sensitive skin, active skin infections, or certain medical conditions should consult our skin experts before undergoing the treatment. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are generally advised to avoid chemical peels, including MesoPeels.

What happens at your consultation?

Your practitioner will review your skin concerns, relevant medical history and current skincare, then explain the options, expected recovery and costs. Tell them about medicines, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and previous reactions to skin treatments.

What happens during a chemical peel?

Your skin is assessed and prepared before the selected peel is applied according to its protocol. Your practitioner monitors your response and provides post-treatment care and advice for home.

Chemical peel recovery and aftercare

Recovery depends on the peel and your skin. Temporary redness, sensitivity, dryness or flaking can occur; some peels cause little visible peeling. Your practitioner will explain what to expect.

Follow your clinic’s aftercare plan, including recommended gentle skincare and sun protection. Avoid picking flaking skin and check when to restart active products. Contact the clinic if you experience an unexpected reaction.

Recommended homecare is tailored to your needs and purchased separately. Results vary and maintenance treatments may be recommended.

Frequently asked

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a MesoPeel cost in London?

At Premier Laser & Skin, a single MesoPeel is £144, reduced from the standard price of £160. A single MD Advanced MesoPeel is £180, reduced from £200. Courses of three and six are also available; see the full price list above.

MesoPeel vs MD Advanced MesoPeel vs Jessner: what’s the difference?

MesoPeels are our standard peel category, while MD Advanced MesoPeels use selected higher-strength formulations for more intensive exfoliation. Both offer options for concerns such as pigmentation, blemishes and uneven texture.

Jessner is a specific type of advanced  peel that may be offered within a treatment range, rather than a separate strength level. Your practitioner will recommend a suitable option after assessing your skin and explain the expected results and recovery.

Is Jessner Pro the same as every Jessner peel?

No. Jessner Pro is a specific mesoestetic product. Your practitioner will explain the formula and expected recovery for the exact peel you receive.

Will I need time off after a chemical peel?

Recovery varies. Discuss upcoming work, holidays and events at your consultation so you can plan around the expected response to your peel.

Is a skincare kit included?

No. Recommended pre-treatment and aftercare products are purchased separately and tailored to your skin.

Is a chemical peel suitable for everyone?

No. Suitability requires an individual assessment, including a review of your medical history and skincare use.

When will I see results from a MesoPeel?

You may notice brighter, smoother-looking skin after your first treatment, once your skin has recovered. As a general guide, light chemical peels take around 1–7 days to heal; more intensive peels can take longer. Improvements can build with repeated treatments. Your practitioner will explain the expected timeline for your selected peel.

How long do chemical peel results last?

The duration depends on the peel, the concern being treated and your skincare routine. Results are not permanent, but daily sun protection, appropriate homecare and maintenance treatments can help preserve the improvement. Your practitioner will recommend a plan suited to your skin and goals.

Can I see an improvement after just one treatment?

A single peel may improve the appearance of dullness and uneven texture, making it a useful starting point. Concerns such as pigmentation, blemishes and fine lines may benefit from a course, with improvements developing progressively rather than after one appointment.

Should I book one session, three sessions or six sessions?

A single session lets you begin treatment and assess your skin’s response. A course provides a planned series of appointments, with progress reviewed along the way, and offers a lower price per session.

The right number depends on your skin concerns and the peel selected. If you are unsure, book a consultation before choosing your package.

How often should I have a chemical peel?

Light chemical peels are often spaced around 2–5 weeks apart. Other formulations require longer recovery intervals. Your practitioner will set the timing for your course so your skin has time to recover between appointments.

Will my skin peel, and will I need downtime?

You may experience redness, dryness or flaking after treatment. The amount of peeling and recovery time depend on the formulation and treatment intensity. Discuss work, holidays and special events at your consultation so your treatment can be planned around them.

Does a chemical peel hurt?

You may feel tingling, warmth or stinging while the peel is applied. The sensation varies with the formulation and your skin’s sensitivity. Your practitioner will explain what to expect and monitor your skin throughout treatment.

Do I need to know which peel to choose?

No. You can start with a consultation. Your practitioner will assess your skin, discuss your goals and explain whether MesoPeels or our selected higher-strength MD Advanced MesoPeels are appropriate. They will also advise whether a Jessner formulation suits your needs.

How can I get the most from my treatment?

Follow the preparation and aftercare instructions provided by your clinic. Protect your skin from the sun, use the recommended skincare and avoid picking any flaking skin. Ask your practitioner when to restart exfoliating products or other active ingredients.

How do I book my MesoPeel treatment?

View our MesoPeel and MD Advanced MesoPeel prices, then select your recommended treatment category and number of sessions. If you are new to chemical peels or unsure which option to purchase, book a skin consultation first – we will help you choose a suitable treatment plan.
