5 Ways To Reduce Your Neck Wrinkles

By Mary Basiadima, 5 August 2014

A creased and wrinkly looking neck is the bane of many people’s lives but in particular, women’s lives. Women’s skin is more prone to wrinkles and lines and the skin around your neck is the thinnest on your body. Despite this, it’s also one of the most neglected areas of the body and many people fail to even apply moisturiser to their necks until it’s a little too late!

If you have already sustained some damage to the skin on your neck, don’t despair but read on to learn the top tips when it comes to keeping your neck as soft and supple as your face!

Moisturise:

It may seem obvious but so many people fail to apply any moisturiser to their neck. Use the same cream as you use for your face.

Get Some Help From Laser Treatments:

Such as IPL (intense pulsed light) Photorejuvenation treatment. This amazing and non-invasive skin rejuvenation technique is virtually pain-free and shows amazing results.

Injectables

Profhilo is a new treatment which can be injected into the skin to firm up loose and saggy skin. It injects 64mg of the purest form of Hyaluronic acid into the skin which then goes to work building up Collagen and Elastin. Known as the 5 minute face lift it has been gathering momentum as the new must have treatment.

Apply Sunscreen:

Apply it daily when you apply sunscreen to your face and protect it from those nasty UV rays.

Exfoliate:

Just as you exfoliate your face to get rid of dead skin cells, so you should exfoliate your neck. Be gentle though!

Sleep On Your Back:

Sleeping on your side will force the skin on your neck and cleavage into natural wrinkles which over time will become permanent.

Sublative Radio Frequency Skin Resurfacing:

Does Sublative Radio Frequency Skin Resurfacing sound a little sci-fi? That’s because it is! This state of the art treatment uses up-to-the-minute technology to break through to lower portions of your skin without affecting the upper dermis…treating the problems right at the heart. Skin is improved in elasticity and appearance by the technique which encourages new collagen growth.

Eat More Oily Fish:

Oily fish such as salmon, mackerel, trout, herrings and sardines offer excellent nutrition for your skin. Try to incorporate it into your diet a few times a week and if you don’t like it then take a supplement.

Tone:

Don’t forget to tone the skin on your neck either with a specialised preparation or with plenty of cold water. Cold water will firm up your skin fast!

Diet, sun exposure and hydration are the biggest factors in how well we age over the years. If you’re a smoking sun lover who hates water, then chances are your neck will suffer just as much as your face will! If you try to eat a healthy, varied diet, drink plenty of water and avoid sun exposure and smoking then your skin will thank you for it.
