Top Skincare Tips During The Summer

By Mary Basiadima, 21 June 2023

As the weather gets warmer and humidity increases, your skin’s sweet and sebaceous glands causing more congestion and blocked pores.

Usually during hot months your skin will need more hydrating products then heavy, nourishing creams. It is good to use serum with hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and other antioxidants that protect your skin against free radicals and prevent dehydration without feeling heavy and greasy during hot and humid days.

HydraFacial

As you skin builds up more congestion it is good to exfoliate the skin on the regular basics with good homecare routine and treatments like HydraFacial at our clinics.

DR SPF 50+

As during the summer there is a strong UV radiation and it can cause premature aging, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles therefore a good sunscreen is a MUST. SPF 30-50 needs to be applied daily before your make-up and if you are exposed directly to a heavy sun even more frequently.

If your skin is prone to sun spots or hormonal pigmentation brightening products should be added to your skincare routine to prevent new pigmentation and worsening of existing condition.

Also during summer you should not refrain from treatments at the clinic. We still could do many procedure: Hydrafacial, Dermapen,  some chemical peels are the best in summer.

It is good to swap a heavy foundation for a  tinted SPF cream or BB cream and use the thermal water to spray your skin during the day.

Don’t forget to look after you neck, decollate and hands as these parts age much faster and we in general neglect these areas. They need to be exfoliated, hydrated and protected against UV too.
