Morpheus8: the Newest Industry Device for Skin Tightening and Lifting’

By Mary Basiadima, 11 August 2022

MORPHEUS 8

What is Morpheus 8?

Morpheus8 is the latest technology from the aesthetic market that focuses on skin tightening, lifting, and scar removal. This treatment combines advanced radio frequency and microneedling techniques in order to penetrate the  deepest layers of the skin that previous microneedling treatments were unable to reach. As we age, collagen and elastin fibres in the skin weaken which gives the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and skin sagging. These microneedles transmit radio frequencies which trigger the body’s natural healing mechanisms to maximise collagen and elastin production to give the skin a tightened, lifted, and youthful look.

This is an innovative non-surgical skin tightening procedure which has become widely popular since its release in 2021 due to its low risk, quick recovery time, and affordability. For these reasons, the Morpehus8 treatment is favoured by A-list celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Amanda Holden.

3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart are needed for maximum effect and longevity of results. The spacing of these sessions gives the body enough time to heal and gradually increase collagen and elastin levels on its own.

Morpheus8 is suitable for both facial tightening and body sculpting including cellulite reduction. After a few sessions with our expert practitioners, your skin will be stronger, smoother, tighter, and more resistant to the ageing process.

What does Morpheus8 treat?

Morpheus8 can be used to treat a broad range of skin imperfections. Since not all skin is the same, our practitioners can tailor this treatment to your specific needs to achieve the results you want to see.

Treatable conditions include:

  1. Acne scarring
  2. Discolouration and hyperpigmentation
  3. Sun damage
  4. Stretch marks
  5. Wrinkles and fine lines
  6. Loose or sagging skin
  7. Reduction of fat in intricate areas ( including cellulite)

How soon before you see results?

3 to 6 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart will be required for maximum results. This treatment is designed to promote long term skin health and so results are not immediate. Additionally, since every individual’s skin is different, the time it takes for visible results will vary depending on the age of the individual, the condition of their skin and the severity of their condition.

The first noticeable results can appear after just a few days, however, the best results will be seen at 3 months, as that is how long it takes for the collagen and elastin to fully regenerate and form.

How long does Morpheus8 last?

Results from Morpheus8 last for around 2-3 years depending on the age of the client and the health of their skin. However, annual top up sessions are recommended to ensure the best long- term results.

How to know if Morpheus8 is the right choice for you:

This procedure is ideal for those who prefer minimally invasive treatments with little risk involved. Morpheus8 can target deep tissue layers with exact precision which reduces the risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation and other potential damages, ensuring that recovery is quick and comfortable for our clients. Unlike surgery, the procedure is discreet and convenient with low risk.

Prior to treatment, numbing cream is applied to the affected area to minimise discomfort. Equipment is then sterilised and a new handpiece is used every time. Sessions last for 1-2 hrs depending on the size of the area; Morpheus can be used on the full face including delicate eye and chin areas as well as the abdomen for stretch marks and tightening. Post treatment symptoms include redness which can be described as similar to sunburn, but this quickly subsides in 1-2 days.
