What Does Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Owe Her Gorgeous Skin & Body To?

By Mary Basiadima, 17 April 2015

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley turns 28 today, so what better opportunity is there to analyse this British beauty’s look and find out how we can copy it?

Let’s start with her glowing, perpetually flawless skin. You’d be forgiven for thinking she’s never had a spot in her life, but actually, she’s just great at preventative measures. In fact, the best beauty advice she’s ever been given is to “look after your skin. There’s no point putting on loads of make-up if you’re not investing in healthy skin…” She must have heard every piece of advice from every make-up artist and skincare expert in the business, but this simple, most fundamental one is what she’s held onto. She’s not afraid to try lots of different things though; “It can take time and trial and error, and believe me, I’ve been through it all.” It’s a relief to know we’re not the only ones with a cluttered bathroom.

So after years and trying different products and being the face of a handful, what does she recommend above all? We all know that sun damage can have a serious, and sometimes irreversible, effect on the skin, and that’s something Rosie takes particularly seriously; “I try to wear sun cream every day on my hands and face”.

As well as being careful in the sun, Rosie has light therapy on her face regularly. IPL Skin Rejuvenation involves the use of intense light pulses on the whole face. Rosie loves it because “it’s great for collagen and bringing back all the nutrients that you need in your face…I’ve seen such a big difference in my skin since using it”. Our clients also feel that noticeable difference, particularly in skin texture, after just one session. The treatment can also target age spots, freckles and signs of ageing.

Rosie is known for having the most dewy, glowing skin in the business, and her dermatologist Shani Darden has revealed these golden rules:

  • “Always wash your face at night” – sounds obvious, but its at the end of the day when we have the most dirt and loose skin on our face.
  • “Peels” are great for removing dead skin cells too and improving dullness, try our Herbal Green Peel for a treatment that contains all natural plant ingredients, which increases blood circulation and helps to peel off dead layers of the outer skin. Healthy blood circulation is crucial for producing new cells and collagen fibres.
  • “Always wear sun cream”, even when the weather isn’t great.
  • Sleep is crucial.   “Try to get 7-8 hours a night”

And now for the big one – or skinny and lithe one, rather – Rosie’s beyond enviable figure. She owes it to “half genetics, half working out”, so at least some of it is attainable. Citing pilates and frequent, intense gym sessions, Rosie has developed the sculpted body we see before us. Another secret is to go mad with the bottled water; Rosie drinks a litre first thing in the morning and doesn’t really stop throughout the day, as it minimises water retention and keeps her skin hydrated.

If you need a helping hand while you’re committing to the gym, Fat Dissolving Injections contain polymers which bond with the walls of fatty tissue, breaking it down. It’s particularly effective in stubborn fatty areas that don’t seem to be reduced by obsessive cardio, such as the bum, thighs and stomach.

So when she’s not exercising and drinking litres of water and being flown all over the world, how does Rosie like to spend her downtime? “I like to hang out at home with my dogs, make some good food, catch up on my reading, go to the beach for a swim or go out with my girlfriends for some cocktails and dancing.” Enjoy your birthday, Rosie! We’ll just be reading up on your make-up routine…
